Amy Chua is a Harvard grad and Yale Law School Professor, and her Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother has Colbert stating that the book "has enraged and secretly threatened mothers across America." While Colbert says this to be funny, his statement hits the nail on the head in referencing her book's extensive media attention and cultural critique.
When Chua speaks about the book, she's articulate and seems sincere in her motivations about parenting and is explicit about her text as being a satirical memoir. I'd like to be able to form my own opinion about this book. For this reason, I'm going to check it out.
(Also, if Amy Chua and Charlie Sheen had a lovechild would it be full-blooded tiger?)
