"Terrifying."
Truer words never spoken by Colbert... regarding the re-make of Karate Kid. And, yeah, when New Yorker Magazine's China correspondent Evan Osnos joins him to speak about China, Colbert brings up Jaden Smith. Duh.
In an informative and engaging interview, Osnos paints a picture of China's investment in the future: energy, education, and technological innovation. Osnos argues that if the US wants to be competitive that the US needs to focus on creativity. Creativity, according to Osnos, is where the US is superior, as the Chinese education system focuses on memorization. At the same time, the Chinese are far more dedicated to securing the future. Check out the interview. It's worth a watch.
